Introduction

Giving an excellent service to your buyers or prospective customers as soon as enquires are received is a vital stage in any business module, and Pro-Merchant provides the ability to monitor the stage prior to receiving the sales order to the last stages of follow ups!

The primary objective is to ease vendor and buyer management for efficient interdepartmental information flow, which helps to ensure on-time in-house of required materials and reduction in pre production lead tomes, streamlining and improving file handover and delivery.

Product Development

The system provides the ability to monitor all stages of the development processes and to ensure that the appropriate actions are taken on time performing the following list of activities: 

Production Merchandising

With lead times getting shorter, it is viatl that the pre-production fuctions are perormed with maximum efficiencies, this system aims to make the Production Merchandisers job more simple allowing them to easily monitor the multitude of activities they are expected to control.

Templates

Templates are made for every Buyer, with specific requirements for every fabric type and sample processes. Each template lists all of the activities required in sequence each activity is given an appropriate lead time. Once the templates are completed they are stored, and the appropriate ones chosen for new orders from that buyer. A Time and Action plan will be generated automatically once the choices have been made.

Bill of materials (BOM)

It is extracted automatically from the original costing, the last cost of each item is shown, the date it was established can, if required, be updated. Once the order has been entered the BOM is automatically generated allowing for quantities of contrasting colours (buttons etc) and various sizes (Zips etc) to be calculated.

Sample Management

All activities within the sampling department are allocated to the available resources; each activity is given an allowed time and is monitored on screen. Some Activities can be done in parallel and some will form the critical path activities are listed in order of the preceding activity and using these techniques it is possible to improve the performance of the department. All activities are updated immediately by the person responsible using a touch screen allowing the merchant to be aware of the progress of their samples at all times.

Alerts

Pre- alerts for activities which are due to happen are listed, any late alerts show as RED on the screen.

Count Down

Two lead times for each order are displayed File Hand over & Delivery dates. As each day passes the remaining lead time for both activities is displayed in RED, thus keeping everyone concerned up to date with the current live situation.

Merchant Performance

The program will calculate the efficiency of all the merchants and the performance of each department is constantly available.

E-mails

Various emails can be generated from within the system both for internal and external communication.

Follow ups

The progress of orders handed over to production can monitored automatically if the user has both Pro-Cut and Pro-Man.
